Rain Delay

Day 8

Today started out cold, dreary but dry so we ventured into the old town of Albufeira. We were both surprised at how many tourists there were and the town clearly is catering to the Brits. The central square was teeming with people and the pan flute players from South America. Those are musician that really get around.

Our goal was to walk around town and find a good fish lunch...mission accomplished! I had found a restaurant on Yelp called Casa da Fonte and it got good reviews. We had a wonderful lunch...for me the best so far. They cook over charcoal which gives everything a wonderful taste.

By the time lunch was finished the rain started up so we just headed home for rainy day movie watching.

I feel I’d be remiss if I didn’t highlight the sweet ride we scored. A body of plastic and tires the size of donuts. It has surprisingly good pick-up (unless you’re headed up hill or pulling in front of a speeding truck or BMW).
